1000 Miglia. A Way Of Living.

A Way Of Living.
1000 Miglia 2022.

The Mille Miglia was an open-road, motorsport endurance race established in 1927 by the young Counts Francesco Mazzotti and Aymo Maggi, which took place in Italy twenty-four times from 1927 to 1957.

For decades it has been not only a race but a way of developing and improving the Car industry. Italians, between 1927 and 1957, thanks to racing managed to drastically improve speed, design and safety. Apparently not enough.
In 1957, after several tragedies, the race was forever banned.

Since 1977, the "Mille Miglia" has been reborn as a regularity race for classic and vintage cars. Participation is limited to cars, produced no later than 1957, which had attended (or were registered to) the original race. The route (Brescia–Rome round trip) is similar to that of the original race, maintaining the point of departure/arrival in Viale Venezia in Brescia

Nowadays the race became A Way Of Living. Living dreams, Living a past never seen from the youngest eyes or Living memories for the older ones. A Way Of Living Italy on four classic wheels remembering why we love this country and why we love cars.

In hopes of following more and, who knows, one day be part of it;
here are some of the shots I took in Salò (BS).

Enjoy.
